ARE YOU A FREAK ABOUT WRITING?

Search an author, book, podcast, subject, story, service, publisher or keyword and find the Parking Spots around it.

Books, stories, authors, podcasts, audiobooks, publishing, AI, writing businesses, strange ideas, great writing, terrible writing and whatever else I find interesting enough to park here.

✍️ WRITING IS WAY BIGGER THAN “I WROTE A BOOK.”

Writing the words is one job. Getting anybody to notice them is another.

I learned that one myself.

I wrote Wicked Darkness: Johnny’s Survival Guide To The End Times. Roughly 400 pages of wild Christian, spiritual and end-times rabbit holes. I put it on Amazon. I built WickedDarkness.com. Anybody who wants the book can find it.

Assuming they know to look for it.

That’s the annoying part.

Putting a book on Amazon can feel a little like putting it on a library shelf in a town of 500 people surrounded by an Iowa cornfield. Technically, the book is available.

Congratulations. The freeway is still on the other side of the cornfield. 😂

  • Words & stories — books, articles, scripts, essays, newsletters, podcasts, commentary and whatever else somebody actually sat down and wrote.
  • Publishing & production — editors, publishers, ghostwriters, designers, narrators, audiobook producers, tools and services that help turn those words into something finished.
  • Audience & discovery — the giant question that arrives after the work is done: how does anybody actually find it?

Writing it doesn’t mean anybody will find it.

That’s an absurd amount of stuff to talk about.

WELCOME TO THE ISLAND.

⭐ THERE ARE REALLY THREE SIDES TO THIS GAME

Authors, screenwriters, bloggers, journalists, podcasters, poets, copywriters, essayists and other storytellers start with words, ideas and something they want somebody else to read, hear or experience.

Editors, ghostwriters, publishers, designers, narrators, producers, agents, coaches and writing services help turn rough ideas and finished manuscripts into something ready for the world.

Marketers, publicists, platforms, creators, reviewers and writers themselves are trying to solve the part nobody talks enough about: getting the finished work in front of people who might actually care.

🌴 THE WRITERS FREAK ISLAND

Writers Freak is one Island inside Freak Sites, and it’s one I built because I wanted to use it myself. It’s built around words, stories, books, podcasts, audiobooks, publishing, writing, media, tools, services and the people creating all of it.

This isn’t software I’m standing outside of trying to sell. I’m going to be here building too. My Parking Spots. My Garage. My stories. My experiments. My rabbit holes. My mistakes. Whatever I think is worth writing about next.

I built it for me first. Then I opened the same system to you.

I need enough room to wander around without turning the whole thing into one giant mess, so here’s where things currently park:

📚 Authors, Books & Storytelling
Authors, books, ebooks, fiction, nonfiction, short stories, series and the stories behind the stories.

🏢 Publishing & Self-Publishing
Traditional publishing, independent publishing, Amazon, KDP, book launches, distribution, formatting and the business of getting words into the world.

✏️ Editing, Ghostwriting & Writing Services
Editors, ghostwriters, proofreaders, book coaches, formatters, designers and other people helping writers make the work better.

📣 Copywriting, Content & Marketing
Advertising copy, content marketing, sales writing, book promotion, author marketing and words written to make something happen.

🎙️ Scripts, Screenplays, Podcasts & Media
Screenplays, scripts, podcasts, audiobooks, television, film, stage, adaptations, narration, video scripts and storytelling that moves from the written word into something people watch or hear.

📰 Journalism, Blogs & Newsletters
Journalists, bloggers, newsletters, commentary, essays, online publications and independent media.

🤖 AI, Writing Tools & Technology
AI writing, editing tools, text-to-speech, transcription, publishing software and whatever technology does next to the writing world.

💼 Writing Careers, Education & Business
Freelance writing, writing jobs, courses, workshops, representation, agents, writing careers and making money around words.

Some of what gets parked here will be mine. Some may belong to other people playing on the Island with me.

Either way, it gives me plenty to write about.

Although, yes, you can absolutely park a book here too.

But here’s the bigger idea: you do not need to arrive with a book, a writing business, a service, a product or an audience.

Writers Freak is the writing-world Island I built and use myself. A Parking Spot is the product — one page you can use to build something inside that world.

Pick a corner that interests you. Books and authors. AI and writing. Publishing. Screenwriting. Audiobooks. Podcasts. Literary history. Writing tools. Book marketing. Copyright fights. Great writing. Terrible writing. Strange stories about people who make a living with words.

Use AI if it helps. Create one worthwhile Parking Spot. Give it an address. Share it. Watch what gets attention. Build another.

Keep going and you aren’t just posting pages anymore. You’re building a Writers Freak Garage — your own Channel inside the Island.

THAT’S THE PART YOUTUBE TAUGHT EVERYBODY.

YouTube doesn’t require you to arrive with a video business before you start a channel. It gives you a container. You fill it with videos.

Writers Freak works the same way at the simplest level. I built the writing-world Island. You decide what part of that world you want to build around, then fill your Garage with Parking Spots.

YOU DON’T NEED A WRITING BUSINESS TO START.
YOU CAN USE WRITERS FREAK TO START BUILDING ONE.

And I’m not asking you to do something I’m not doing myself.

I’m building my Garage here too.

THERE’S A LOT MORE HERE THAN “BUY MY BOOK.”

If the connection to writing, storytelling, publishing, podcasts, audiobooks, media, writing tools, services or getting words in front of people makes sense, there’s probably a place for it here.

🔎 I WANTED ONE PLACE TO FIND MY OWN WRITING STUFF AGAIN.

Writing is a massive world, and I already create a ridiculous amount of it. Why not build an Island where I can keep it, search it and turn some of it into something else later?

Books. Commentary. Articles. Stories. Research. AI. Publishing. Podcasts. Audiobooks. Audio. Marketing. Weird ideas I couldn’t stop thinking about.

Some of those Parking Spots may point people toward Wicked Darkness, Freak Sites, Cool Car Guy, my Sales Freak account or something else I’m building.

Some are simply stories or subjects I wanted to explore.

Either way, months later I don’t want to remember which social platform, podcast description, video description, document, post or digital drawer I threw something into.

I want to remember one thing.

THE KEYWORD.

Somebody brings up a book, an author, podcast, audiobook, AI, publishing, prophecy, storytelling or something else I already spent way too much time writing about and I think:

“I ALREADY WROTE ABOUT THIS.”

I don’t start scrolling through old posts.

I come back to Writers Freak and type what I remember.

AMAZON. PODCAST. AI. BOOK. EDITOR. STORY.

BAM. THERE’S THE PARKING SPOT.

Maybe I want to read it again.
Maybe something changed and I want to update it.
Maybe somebody is arguing about the subject and I already did the work.

Copy the link. Send it. Have a nice day.

A social post gets a timestamp.
A Parking Spot gets an address.

That’s what I wanted.

A searchable Island built around words, stories and everything around them, where the content I create doesn’t disappear into a feed.

Remember the subject. Search the Island. Find the Parking Spot.

🏝️ WANT TO BUILD HERE WITH ME?

I built Writers Freak because I wanted this Island for myself first.

I’m going to create Parking Spots. Build my Garage. Use AI. Distribute the content. Watch the counters. Figure out what gets attention. Build more.

I’m building on the same Island you’re building on. My Garage lives here too. Then I opened the same $7 Parking Spots and tools I use to people who want to build alongside me.

You can do the same thing.

You don’t need a book. You don’t need a writing business. You don’t need an audience.

Start with a subject inside the writing world that interests you.

AI and writing. Famous authors. Publishing disasters. Screenwriting. Audiobooks. Book marketing. Writing tools. Literary history. Copyright. Great openings. Terrible endings. Strange stories. Useful ideas.

Create one Parking Spot worth reading, watching, searching or sharing.

Use AI to help research, organize, draft, create visuals or turn one idea into more useful assets. Then use YouTube, Rumble, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, newsletters, podcasts or wherever else makes sense to distribute what you built.

Build one. Share it. Watch what happens. Build another.

NOW YOU HAVE AN ADDRESS.

One Parking Spot is one page inside a niche Island built around words, stories and everything around them.

A standard Writers Freak Parking Spot costs $7 one time. No subscription. No scheduled renewal. No scheduled expiration.

I’m not asking you to build on something I don’t use. My own Writers Freak Garage is being built with the same Parking Spots.

You get the same basic Parking Spot tools I use:

  • Up to 25 photos
  • Up to two supported embedded videos
  • Up to 30,000 characters for writing
    • No 280-character post limit here
  • Your own dedicated URL
  • Links, contact information and calls to action
  • A public view counter
  • A place inside the searchable Writers Freak Island

One Parking Spot works by itself. Keep creating and they start collecting inside your Writers Freak Garage.

Pretty soon you haven’t just posted something. You’ve built a container full of assets around the part of the writing world you chose.

WANT TO PUSH ONE PARKING SPOT FURTHER?

The standard $7 Parking Spot is the starting point. There are also optional one-time upgrades when they make sense:

  • Video Spotlight — $99
A finished 3–5 minute video I approve for publication through the @FreakSites channels on YouTube and Rumble and link back to a Parking Spot.
  • StoryDrive™ 1000 — $299
Add 1,000 additional recorded views to a Parking Spot.

If it genuinely belongs somewhere around writing, storytelling or the world around words, park it.
If something changes, update it.
If you’re done with it, remove it.

ONE PARKING SPOT IS A PAGE. YOUR GARAGE IS YOUR CHANNEL. THAT CAN BECOME A BUSINESS.

Every Parking Spot connects to your profile.

Build one and you have an asset.

Keep creating and those Parking Spots collect inside your Writers Freak Garage.

Your Garage might become a world around books and authors. Or AI and writing. Or screenwriting. Or publishing. Or audiobooks. Or strange literary history. Or whatever corner of the writing world you decide to build around.

That’s your Channel inside the Island.

I’m doing the same thing with mine. I’m not selling you a theory. I’m building Parking Spots, creating a Garage, distributing what I make and using the Island myself.

You are not required to arrive with a book, service, product or business. The Garage is the container. The Parking Spots are what you build it with.

Use AI to help create them. Use YouTube, Rumble, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, newsletters, podcasts or wherever else makes sense to distribute them.

Then show somebody else what you did.

🛠️ YES. YOU BUILD YOUR OWN PARKING SPOT.

Don’t panic. 😂

I built Writers Freak to be something I can actually use myself. The Parking Spot works like a simple listing form because complicated would defeat the point.

Hit Grab A Spot.
Choose the category that fits.
Add your writing, images, videos, links and whatever you want somebody to do next.

If staring at a blank page makes your brain hurt, use AI. I do.

Just make it truthful and make sure it belongs somewhere around writing, storytelling or the world around words.

There are instructions around the Island when you need them.

If that sounds like your kind of thing, have at it.
If you decide it isn’t your thing, no problem.

Enjoy the content.
I’ll still be here writing and building interesting stuff.

💰 WANT TO DO WHAT I’M DOING?

I’m building Writers Freak by using the product myself — and selling the same $7 Parking Spots other people can use to build here too.

I built the Island. I create Parking Spots. I build my Garage. I use AI. I distribute what I create. I watch what gets attention. And I show people what I’m doing.

You can do the same thing.

THE MODEL IS REALLY THIS SIMPLE.

YouTube gives you a video container. You fill it with videos and try to build an audience inside somebody else’s monetization system.

Writers Freak gives you a writing-world container. You fill your Garage with Parking Spots.

Views matter because they show attention. But Writers Freak doesn’t pay you just because somebody viewed your Garage.

The Parking Spot is the product.

The Writers Freak Affiliate Program is free to apply for. Once approved, you get your affiliate link.

Build your Garage. Show somebody what you’re doing.

If somebody buys a $7 Parking Spot through your affiliate link, you earn 20% on the direct sale.

They come back later and buy another Parking Spot?

YOU CAN GET PAID ANOTHER 20%.

Want to build a network too?

20% → 15% → 10% → 5% → 5%

You don’t get paid for joining. You don’t get paid because somebody clicked a link. You don’t get paid just because somebody became an affiliate.

The product has to sell.

BUILD IT.
SHOW IT.
SELL IT.
DUPLICATE IT.

That’s what I’m doing here too.

I’m not handing you a SaaS product and wishing you luck. I’m building on the same Island, with the same Parking Spots, right beside you. You can use that product to build your own Garage, your own Channel and, if you want to work it, a business around selling the same product you use.

I BUILT THE ISLAND.
I BUILT THE PRODUCT.
YOU CAN BUILD WITH ME.

Books. Authors. Podcasts. Audiobooks. Publishing. AI. Great writing. Terrible writing. Book deals. Editing. Storytelling. Writing businesses. And whatever else makes me stop and think, “I need to write about that.”

I BUILT THE ISLAND.
I’M BUILDING HERE TOO.
YOU’RE WELCOME TO BUILD YOURS.

Read the stories. Hear what gets said. See what gets written. Search the Island. See what people park here.

A $7 Parking Spot is where you start. Build one. Share it. Build another. Turn your Garage into a Channel — and if you want, build a business around selling the same product you use.

Illustrations and examples are provided for educational, explanatory and editorial storytelling purposes.
