So I built Writers Freak around the whole world of words. I’m building my own Parking Spots and Garage here with the same product I’m opening to you. If something in the writing world keeps rattling around in your head, give it a Spot and put it somewhere people can actually find again.

✍️ WRITING IS WAY BIGGER THAN “I WROTE A BOOK.”
A book is one place words can end up. It’s nowhere close to the whole writing world.
I learned that one myself.
I wrote Wicked Darkness: Johnny’s Survival Guide To The End Times. Roughly 400 pages of wild Christian, spiritual and end-times rabbit holes. I put it on Amazon. I built WickedDarkness.com. Anybody who wants the book can find it.
Assuming they know to look for it.
That’s the annoying part.
But books are only one part of this Island. Newspapers need reporters. Magazines need writers. Comic books need stories and dialogue. Movies and television start with scripts. Podcasts can begin with research and a blank page. Advertising runs on copy. Websites need content. Publishers need manuscripts. Editors need writers. Writers need editors. And AI just wandered into the middle of the whole thing and changed the conversation again. 😂
- The writers — authors, journalists, screenwriters, comic writers, bloggers, poets, copywriters, playwrights, columnists, ghostwriters and everybody else turning ideas into words.
- The work — books, newspapers, magazines, comics, scripts, newsletters, articles, blogs, podcasts, audiobooks, advertising and everything else those words become.

The words might be the starting point. Everything around them is where this gets interesting.

I need enough room to wander around without turning the whole thing into one giant mess, so here’s where things currently park:

The Parking Spot is the product.
What you put in it is up to you.

Either way, months later I don’t want to remember which social platform, podcast description, video description, document, post or digital drawer I threw something into.
I want to remember one thing.

Somebody brings up a book, an author, a newspaper story, a comic, a podcast, an audiobook, AI, publishing, journalism, storytelling or something else I already spent way too much time writing about and I think:

I don’t start scrolling through old posts.
I come back to Writers Freak and type what I remember.
